Wow! That is the only word to describe the BETT 2013 show at London Excel. Adam Crane and Dominic Langmead visited the show on Wednesday the 28th of January and have both said it was an eye opening experience.
BETT has been around for 29 years and this year it was bigger and better than ever. With a presence from some of the biggest names in technology and educational specialisms, the show offered a unique insight into the world of teaching and learning enhancement. Intel, Dell, Microsoft and many other showcased their hardware and software solutions for education with specialist like Promethean and Pearson offering some fantastic solutions such as interactive tables and assessment software solutions.
It was interesting to see some key themes emerge. App Development in Schools is proving to be a hot topic with many companies offering online platforms to teach the fundamentals of app design and development from primary education all the way to degree level. From an institutional perspective there was a strong emphasis on cashless admin systems for school, colleges and universities.
All in all it was a very insightful event and something we will definitely be attending again in the future (hopefully as an exhibitor!)
