ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

The Commonwealth Poetry Podcast was created by Aphra and Gyles Brandreth to celebrate poetry from across the Commonwealth. The podcast features a different country every episode, with a guest sharing their favourite poems or their own.

THE CHALLENGE

The Commonwealth Poetry Podcast required a website and branding to accompany the fortnightly podcast episode releases. The podcast encourages people to share their poetry and learn more about the Commonwealth at the same time. As a result, the website needed to provide features and functionality to create a community for sharing poetry

The solution

We developed a unique brand and bespoke web design, which incorporate the key aspects of the Commonwealth Poetry Podcast, providing it with an instantly recognisable logo.

WordPress was chosen as the foundation for the website, augmented with a bespoke theme and plugin to extend the functionality and create an easy-to-manage and update content management system.

The website also provided a discussion area for podcast listeners to submit their own poetry to be published for everyone to enjoy!

The impact

Episode content updates can be scheduled ahead of release to coincide with the release of each podcast episode.

Website launched in over 50 countries with podcast listeners instantly being able to share their poetry and participate in discussions about podcast episodes.
