We developed a website based upon the Umbraco CMS which allowed staff to keep their own areas of the Intranet up to date and extended the platform to allow staff to login with their existing internal accounts. Hospital statistics were provided on the Intranet homepage through the use of colour coded icons allowing staff to see important information at a glance.

- The Countess of Chester Hospital has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality patient care and is nationally accredited at the highest levels in many areas, in particular those relating to clinical outcomes and patient safety.
THE CHALLENGE
- We were asked to develop a new Intranet for the Countess of Chester Hospital which met their needs by allowing staff to view statistics from across the hospital in a busy clinical setting. Staff needed to be able to login with their existing details and manage their own section of the Intranet. It also provided a forum for staff to communicate and a telephone directory powered by Active Directory.

The new Intranet was rolled out across the Countess of Chester Hospital in 2014 and has been in use by staff across the hospital nearly every day.
